Recap: Legacy Tigers vs. Garfield Bulldogs
The Legacy Tigers lost against the Garfield Bulldogs back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Legacy was dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of Garfield. Legacy has struggled against Garfield recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Damian Cabrera was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Cabrera is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Jayden Barnes was in the mix too, providing Garfield with two touchdowns.
Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Garfield, the victory was the eighth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Legacy will be playing in front of their home fans against South East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South East is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Garfield, they will square off against Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
