Baseball Recap: MacArthur Takes a Loss

MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harlandale Indians. The Brahmas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Wyatt Stevens was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out 11 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Sebastian Laboy-Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Harlandale, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, MacArthur will take on Medina Valley in a tournament on Thursday. As for Harlandale, they will welcome Antonian Prep at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
