Basketball Recap: West Valley Comes Up Short

West Valley and Deer Park squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but West Valley had to settle for second. They were dealt a 66-26 loss at the hands of the Deer Park Stags. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-10.

West Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Deer Park, Clarkston, and Deer Park. As for Deer Park, the win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

West Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Deer Park, they will square off against Clarkston at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Deer Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 games -- so hopefully Clarkston likes a good challenge.
