Basketball Game Preview: Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors vs. Asbury Rams

The Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors will head out to take on the Asbury Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Whitesburg Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.

Last Tuesday, Whitesburg Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 80-74 to Grissom. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (67), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Asbury). They breezed by Brindlee Mountain to the tune of 71-32 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Asbury's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Whitesburg Christian Academy skirted past Asbury 57-54 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Whitesburg Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Asbury have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
