Volleyball Recap: Mission Vista Takes a Loss

Mission Vista was the 2-0 winner over La Jolla Country Day when they last played one another back in October of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. Mission Vista took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of La Jolla Country Day on Thursday. Mission Vista has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mission Vista started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Mission Vista still got an impressive performance from Raquel Perez, who had 11 digs and six aces.

Mission Vista now has a losing record of 4-5. As for La Jolla Country Day, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Mission Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against San Dieguito Academy on the 3rd. La Jolla Country Day has also already played their next contest (against Scripps Ranch), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
