Baseball Recap: Frazee Comes Up Short

Frazee lost against Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hornets fell just short of the Bears by a score of 9-8.

Asher Blaine was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Blaine is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Ben Reierson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Frazee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

While Frazee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
