Basketball Recap: Monarch Coyotes vs. Niwot Cougars
There's no place like home for Monarch, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Niwot Cougars by a score of 70-57 on Tuesday. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Cougars are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dylan Ehrnstrom was a one-man wrecking crew for Monarch as he went 9-for-14 to rack up 25 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ehrnstrom a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Logan Laverty, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards.
