Soccer Recap: Kaufman Comes Up Short

Kaufman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Corsicana Tigers. One reason for the loss might be the Lions' aggressive play style: Karma Iglehart and Zoey Cunningham were both handed yellow cards.

Avery Higgins wasn't going to let Corsicana walk away unscathed as she scored both of Kaufman's goals, bringing her season total up to 14 goals.

Kaufman's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Corsicana, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Kaufman will welcome Crandall at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Corsicana, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Corsicana face off against the Midlothian Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
