Softball Recap: Ocean Springs Falls to East Central in First Game of Season

Ocean Springs had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the East Central Hornets by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Greyhounds haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Gracie McDonald made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two triples, one run, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in triples.

Coming up, Ocean Springs will face off against East Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Central, it'll be a Battle of the Bugs the Hornets duke it out with the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
