Bishop Amat had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They blew past the South Hills Huskies 27-7. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Huskies are ranked 64th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Amat's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for South Hills, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.
