After a string of eight wins, Saint Francis Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 55-45 to the Trinity Catholic Celtics. The Wolves were probably out for revenge after losing 43-39 to them when the teams met back in January of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cyrus Fariborzian, who posted ten points. Liam Banks was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points and five boards.

Trinity Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jadiel Jimenez, who went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Gavin Atkins also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Saint Francis Catholic's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Trinity Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint Francis Catholic will challenge Interlachen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Interlachen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season. Trinity Catholic has already played their next contest (against The Villages Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
