Basketball Recap: Grulla Comes Up Short

Grulla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 53-34 to the La Feria Lions. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1509th, while the Lions are ranked 488th).

Grulla's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for La Feria, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Grulla has already played their next match (against Port Isabel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. La Feria will take on Hidalgo at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hidalgo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
