Baseball Recap: Wheatland Takes a Loss

Wheatland saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell just short of the Yuba City Honkers by a score of 6-5.

Jordan James made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Wheatland's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Yuba City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Wheatland has already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Narbonne on the 15th. As for Yuba City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against Vista del Lago on the 15th.
