Moreno Valley is a perfect 6-0 against Rancho Christian since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will host the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. Moreno Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Moreno Valley needed a bit of extra time to put away Citrus Hill. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hawks, sneaking past 10-9. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

Moreno Valley let Mia Licon and Yahaira Esquivel run wild. Licon went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Esquivel went 4-for-6 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Esquivel has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lia Sandoval, who went 3-for-6 with two RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Moreno Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Rancho Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Perris, falling 22-7.

Rancho Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Moreno Valley, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Everything went Moreno Valley's way against Rancho Christian in their previous meeting back in April, as Moreno Valley made off with a 16-1 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
