Volleyball Recap: Capital Cougars vs. South Charleston Black Eagles
Capital was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Charleston Black Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Black Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss last Wednesday.
Capital's offense was headlined by Korri Marin and Jada Fruit, who picked up five kills apiece. Fruit really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine.
Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 13-26-4. As for South Charleston, their victory bumped their record up to 22-19-2.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Capital beat the Black Eagles by a score of 2-1 later that day.
