Flathead took a 14-run defeat the last time they faced off against Sentinel, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Braves/Bravettes skirted past the Spartans 7-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Braves/Bravettes as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Macey McIlhargey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Olivia Nyman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Flathead's record is now 3-16. As for Sentinel, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Flathead wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-4 victory against Hellgate on the 8th. As for Sentinel, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-11 defeat against Glacier on the 8th.
