Soccer Game Preview: Verdigris vs. Skiatook

Verdigris is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Skiatook Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m.

Verdigris is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 5-1 to Victory Christian on Thursday.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Skiatook and Oologah meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for Skiatook in their matchups with Oologah: they've now won three in a row.
