Volleyball Recap: Pueblo County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Pueblo County had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against The Vanguard School Coursers by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Pueblo County might've won, it sure wasn't easy: The Vanguard School scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22.

Pueblo County can attribute much of their success to Sydney Vigil, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most digs Vigil has posted since September 4th.

They weren't the only good servers: Pueblo County was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 11 consecutive matches.

When it comes to explaining why The Vanguard School lost, don't look at Ainsley Anderson. Despite the final result, she had six digs and four aces. Anderson is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season.

Pueblo County's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for The Vanguard School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pueblo County will take on Pueblo Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Vanguard School, they will face off against Manitou Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
