Softball Recap: Ogden Tigers vs. South Summit Wildcats
Ogden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to the South Summit Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ogden of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
Ogden saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrianna Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.
On South Summit's side, not much got past Toshlyn Louder, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Ogden off the board. Louder has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Emma Broadbent was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base. Brooklyn Peacock was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
Ogden's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for South Summit, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.
