Basketball Recap: Mercy Falls Short of Sacred Heart Academy in the Playoffs

Mercy and Sacred Heart Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Mercy had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 59-39 to Sacred Heart Academy, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Tigers have struggled against Sacred Heart Academy recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Mercy's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Sacred Heart Academy, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

While Mercy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
