Basketball Preview: Franklin County Bulldogs vs. Jefferson County Tigers
Franklin County is 10-0 against the Tigers since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Franklin County Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Jefferson County Tigers at 7:30 p.m.
After soaring to a 33-point win in their last game, Franklin County came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of South Pike by a score of 41-38.
Even though Jefferson County has not done well against the Eagles recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Jefferson County walked away with a 56-49 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jefferson County.
Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Jefferson County, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Franklin County came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 84-81. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
