Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Copper Hills and Mountain Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Copper Hills had to settle for second. They came up short against the Sentinels, falling 3-0. The Grizzlies just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.

Despite the defeat, Copper Hills saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alex Cortez-Jaramillo had eight digs and five assists. Noah Shelton also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Copper Hills' loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Mountain Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Copper Hills has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Syracuse on the 9th. As for Mountain Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Riverton on the 9th.
