Baseball Game Preview: Clint Lions vs. Fabens Wildcats

For the second straight game, Clint will face off against Fabens. The Lions will take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clint is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Clint is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Fabens on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 8-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since March 6th.

Clint saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abraham Medina, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Medina has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Joel Villagrana also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Fabens' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Clint, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-11-1.
