Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Auburn walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Hillsboro Hiltoppers with a sharp 76-51 victory on Wednesday. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 23 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Hillsboro lost, don't look at Nathan Matoush. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 23 points and 15 boards. Jackson Tuetken was another key player, putting up eight points.

Auburn's win bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Hillsboro, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-19 record this season.

Auburn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-43 victory against Greenville on the 28th. Hillsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
