Fremont gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Farmington Phoenix by a score of 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Fremont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-21.

Farmington's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Weber at 6:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Farmington, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Mountain Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
