Basketball Recap: Flomaton Takes a Loss

If Flomaton was feeling good fresh off their 59-36 takedown of Hillcrest last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Flomaton Hurricanes took a 56-38 bruising from the Hillcrest Jaguars on Monday. The Hurricanes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 59-36.

Hillcrest found their leader in freshman Shamirah Robinson, who posted 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Khloe Clark was another key player, putting up ten points.

Flomaton has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Flomaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillcrest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-24 defeat against T.R. Miller on the 5th.
