Basketball Game Preview: Dundy County-Stratton Tigers vs. Southwest Roughriders

Dundy County-Stratton is 10-0 against Southwest since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Dundy County-Stratton Tigers will welcome the Southwest Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. Dundy County-Stratton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.

Dundy County-Stratton is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Alma just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 61-52 to the Cardinals.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ethan Latta, who posted 16 points along with seven boards and five assists. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Lane Bybee was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Dundy County-Stratton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Southwest hadn't done well against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Southwest secured a 50-45 W over Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood].

Southwest is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Dundy County-Stratton, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.
