Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Newman's Third in Last Four Outings

Newman won the last time they faced Terrebonne, and Randy Livingston Jr did his part to make sure it happened again. The Newman Greenies managed a 49-43 win over the Terrebonne Tigers on Tuesday thanks in part to Livingston Jr, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 22 points and four steals. His evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Cunningham, who posted ten points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Newman has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Terrebonne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11.

Newman will face off against Haynes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Terrebonne has already played their next contest (against Central Lafourche), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
