Basketball Recap: Bay's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Bay's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Moss Point Tigers by a score of 47-34. This was a revenge game for Bay: when they faced off against Moss Point on January 10th, they had to take a 34-29 defeat.

Loss or not, Moss Point got some senior leadership from Jujuan Nettles and Breland Nicholas. Nettles almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, while Nicholas posted 12 points. That's the most points Nicholas has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevon Ford, who earned three points and five boards.

Bay moved to 11-14 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Moss Point, they dropped their record down to 8-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 38-36 victory against Columbia on the 28th. As for Moss Point, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Moss Point Tigers take on the Pascagoula Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
