Baseball Recap: Hanover-Horton Gets the Win

Hanover-Horton got themselves on the board against Northwest on Friday, but Northwest never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Mounties. This was a revenge game for the Comets: when they faced off against the Mounties on Friday, they had to take a 6-2 defeat.

Hanover-Horton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Wooster, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Luke Soper also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Hanover-Horton's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Hanover-Horton will welcome East Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Comets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Northwest, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Lumen Christi Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
