Softball Game Preview: Ottawa-Glandorf Titans vs. Kalida Wildcats

Ottawa-Glandorf is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Kalida an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Ottawa-Glandorf Titans will face off against the Kalida Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Ottawa-Glandorf has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Ottawa-Glandorf didn't have quite enough to beat Leipsic and fell 12-11.

Libbie Niese was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Haley Meyer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kalida's offense. They lost 10-0 to Columbus Grove on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly ten runs.

Ottawa-Glandorf's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Kalida, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Ottawa-Glandorf came out on top in a nail-biter against Kalida in their previous matchup last Monday, sneaking past 9-7. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
