Basketball Recap: Madonna Takes a Loss

Madonna and Magnolia squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Madonna had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Magnolia Blue Eagles and fell 78-28. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 38-21 back in December of 2024.

Madonna has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Magnolia and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Madonna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Magnolia, they will square off against Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
