Pershing County won the last time they faced Oasis Academy, and Khloe Montes did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Bighorns with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday for which the team can thank Montes, who had six kills, six aces, and four digs. She has been hot, having posted five or more kills the last five times she's played.

Pershing County not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Oasis Academy between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-16.

Pershing County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mia Canchola led the charge by getting eight assists and four digs.

The victory made it two in a row for Pershing County and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Oasis Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Pershing County and Oasis Academy will both be playing North Tahoe the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will host the Lakers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bighorns will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
