Baseball Recap: Fitch Takes a Loss

Fitch fell victim to South Kingstown and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-0 to the Rebels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Falcons have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Fitch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for South Kingstown, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fitch will square off against Waterford at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for South Kingstown, they will take on Cranston East at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbolts have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Rebels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
