Basketball Recap: Petoskey Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sault Area last Tuesday, Petoskey came back down to earth. The Petoskey Northmen came up short against the Cadillac Vikings on Thursday, falling 58-37. The Northmen have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Petoskey's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Cadillac, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Petoskey will take on Alpena at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cadillac, they will face off against Canton at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Cadillac knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Canton likes a good challenge.
