            Basketball Recap: Holmes Aces vs. Pasquotank County Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Holmes was the  41-40 winner over Pasquotank County when they last played one another  back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Holmes Aces fell to the Pasquotank County Panthers  56-50.
Despite the loss, Holmes still got an impressive performance from   Chloe Chappell, who  dropped  a double-double on 26  points and 11  rebounds. That was a full 52% of Holmes' points, marking the sixth time in a row she's   posted  more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kate Foster, who  scored 11 points along with six  boards and five  steals.

 Even though they lost, Holmes  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 20  offensive boards. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2023.
 It was another big night for  Anylah Bowe, who  dropped  a triple-double on 19  points, 12  rebounds,  and 15  blocks for Pasquotank County. Bowe is  on a roll when it comes to  blocks, as she's  now  posted three or more in the last 35 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Kahlia Boone also deserves some recognition as  she  pulled down her first  board of the season.
Holmes dropped their record down to 5-9 with the  loss, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Pasquotank County, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-10.
 Holmes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  59-32  defeat against First Flight on the 1st. Pasquotank County has also  already played their next contest,  a  66-28  loss against Northeastern on the 1st.
