Basketball Recap: Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Takes a Loss

If Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk was riding high fresh off their 44-23 takedown of Schalmont last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians lost 64-41 to the Voorheesville Blackbirds on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while the Blackbirds are ranked 188th).

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Voorheesville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk will face off against Ichabod Crane at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Voorheesville, they will take on Schalmont at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
