Basketball Recap: Northeast Nodaway Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stanberry last Thursday, Northeast Nodaway came back down to earth. The Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Gilman City Hawks an easy 65-40 win. The Blue Jays lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 53-51 score last time.

Northeast Nodaway dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Gilman City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Northeast Nodaway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-32 defeat against North Nodaway on the 17th. As for Gilman City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-65 win against Pattonsburg on the 17th.
