Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Marion). They claimed a resounding 103-27 win over the Weir Red Riders. Winning may never get old, but the Huskies sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
North Marion's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Ramsey, who went 7-for-8 to rack up 18 points and eight assists. Those eight assists gave Ramsey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Connor Balwanz, who shot 88% from the field on his way to 17 points and three steals.
North Marion's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Weir, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-9.
North Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-47 victory against Herbert Hoover on the 31st. As for Weir, they have also already played their next contest, a 65-56 defeat against Martins Ferry on the 30th.
