Soccer Game Preview: Foothill vs. Johnson

The Foothill Mustangs will face off against the Johnson Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Foothill's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Burbank out 1-0.

Meanwhile, Johnson waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They had just enough and edged the Panthers out 3-2. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Panthers are ranked 800th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Johnson has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those eight contests. As for Foothill, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9-4.
