Basketball Recap: Polytechnic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Trimble Tech last Tuesday, Polytechnic came back down to earth. The Polytechnic Parrots had to suffer through a 75-43 loss at the hands of the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Parrots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 907th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 205th).

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Arlington Heights, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, Polytechnic and Wyatt will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 12:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Arlington Heights, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Hills at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
