Walnut had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 5-10-1 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Glendora Tartans. That six-run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

As for Glendora, they now have a losing record of 8-9. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Glendora's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Santiago Garza, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Walnut will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
