Volleyball Recap: West Nodaway's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If West Nodaway was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Platte on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rockets fell 2-0 to the Mound City Panthers on Saturday. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16.

Chloe Wenger paced West Nodaway's offense, picking up three kills. Wenger got some help from Haylee Dawson and her six assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Nodaway fell to 3-1. As for Mound City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

West Nodaway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against St. Joseph Christian on the 6th. Mound City has also already played their next contest (against Maysville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
