Volleyball Recap: Glacier Peak Grizzlies vs. Issaquah Eagles

If Glacier Peak was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bothell/Inglemoor on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Glacier Peak Grizzlies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Issaquah Eagles on Saturday. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Glacier Peak started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-22.

Issaquah found their leader in sophomore Casey Kot, who had 17 digs and two aces. Kot is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Ng, who had 15 digs.

Glacier Peak's loss dropped their record down to 27-4. As for Issaquah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 28-3-1 record this season.

Glacier Peak will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Woodinville at 7:00 p.m. As for Issaquah, they will head out to square off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline is coming into the matchup with eight straight victories at home, so Issaquah will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
