The Eels never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. The one-run effort marked the Eels' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Not much got past Lizzy Sinders, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep North Daviess off the board. Sinders has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
Tecumseh pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Clay City, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
