Leigh entered their tilt with Westmont on Friday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Warriors 12-0. Considering the Longhorns have won six games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Justin Jeong was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gio Olvera, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Jeong wasn't the only one making solid contact: Leigh kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Leigh's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Westmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-1 record this season.

Leigh has already played their next matchup, a 7-3 victory against Leland on the 2nd. As for Westmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Los Altos on the 31st.
