Baseball Recap: University Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact University Christian can now relate to. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Academy Flashes on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

University Christian got a good showing from Lukas Brougham, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, University Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Harnage, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

University Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for St. Joseph Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-6-1.

University Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will challenge St. Johns Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Flashes 3.2, the Spartans 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
