Softball Recap: Alpaugh Comes Up Short

Alpaugh lost to Tranquillity back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Buffalos lost 21-10 to the Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Buffalos have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Aydette Ontiveros and Ashley Galindo did some serious damage despite the final result: Ontiveros got on base in three of her six plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs, while Galindo went a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Ontiveros has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Escobar, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

This is the second loss in a row for Alpaugh and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Tranquillity, they moved to 2-7-1 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Alpaugh didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-8 victory against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 27th. As for Tranquillity, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Laton at 4:00 p.m. on April 8.
