Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Teddies vs. Camden Patriots

Roosevelt has gone 9-1 against Camden recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Roosevelt Teddies will take on the Camden Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Roosevelt will be strutting in after a win while Camden will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, Roosevelt humbled Higher Ground Academy with a 50-11 victory. The Teddies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 39 points or more this season.

Georgia Levin had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mae Kirkwood, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Camden was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 73-18 loss at the hands of South St. Paul. The match marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Roosevelt's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Camden, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything came up roses for Roosevelt against Camden in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 64-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roosevelt since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
