Softball Recap: Flat Rock Finds Home Field Redemption Against Eaton Rapids

There's no place like home for Flat Rock, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds with a sharp 15-6 win on Saturday. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 12-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Flat Rock got a massive performance out of Sarah Giroux, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs Giroux has posted over her last 12 matchups. Another player making a difference was Jaclynn Motyka, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Flat Rock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

Flat Rock's record now sits at 13-14. As for Eaton Rapids, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 23-9.

Flat Rock has already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Mercy on the 17th. As for Eaton Rapids, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Mott on the 18th.
